The Technical Committee of the KIWC is staffed by various experts conducting research and investigation on wetland conservation and wise use. The Committee sets a research theme every three years, with local experts in the field investigating examples in the Kushiro region and studying ways to conserve wetlands more effectively and enhance their wise use.
The research results are widely publicized in various ways, including via public presentations for local residents and free distribution of themed activity reports to wetland conservation organizations, research institutes and other relevant organizations nationwide.
The Technical Committee supports KIWC’s activities as a whole by providing technical advice and making proposals.
